ANNIKA (founder, 2014-2017)
It all started in summer 2014 when I went to Rome, Italy, to visit a friend of mine, and I joined a Free Walking Tour in this beautiful old city. I asked myself: Why don't we have this in Mainz? It's a great way to get in touch with locals, foreigners, travellers and many more and to enrich one's knowledge about culture and history. After my trip - full of energy - I did a lot of research in the history of Mainz, old pictures, development, and (although I am not a student of history and not even from Mainz originally!) I got to the level of knowledge some locals might not even have!
My opinion is that (young) people are less interested in endless details of historic data - it's more about getting useful facts about living here and also some funny anecdotes of the past as well as really fundamental statements and examples about the history of Mainz. You want to learn something, have fun and meet new people at the same time?

CAROLINE (2017-2019)
Caroline was the solution when Annika moved away from Mainz. She replaced her from 2017 until 2019.
She is an enthusiastic and dynamic French - American girl, loves to travel around the world to experience and be amazed by new cultures. Unfortunately, Caroline had to leave Mainz recently and moved to another city.
